January Wedding at Lone Oak Acres, Parrish, Florida

WEDDING DATE We got married on January 2, 2021. We thought it was a nice time of the year and thought it would be the best time for family to visit Florida and celebrate.

THE PROPOSAL The proposal took place the same day as our gender reveal party. Shortly after it was revealed we were going to have ourselves a baby boy, John surprised me. He did this completely on his own with my parents blessing and all. Everyone’s emotions were high that day.

WEDDING PLANNING MANTRA I actually had Sashi from BB Weddings and Events plan our wedding, which was probably the best decision I made to start off. I am a planning type of person naturally so it was hard in the beginning to let someone else take over but I just had to keep telling myself that everything is good and that it’s all in good hands.

FAVORITE MOMENT: Just seeing all the happiness from the day was my favorite.

THE DRESS I began shopping in the beginning of the pandemic. Not ideal since I wasn’t able to try any on in a shop and do a say yes moment but I did do something similar when I did decide on a dress and revealed to my bridesmaids. I loved that my dress had a little bit of everything. It was classy and elegant and had the little bit of bling and lace appliqué. It was just a great dress.
