Micro Wedding at White Rock Canyon, a Cliff Side Rock Quarry in Bushnell, Florida

WEDDING DATE We got married on June 12, 2021. It was the anniversary of John moving to Florida.

THE PROPOSAL When John proposed I was so surprised. At the time we had only been dating for seven months. However, John & I both knew that there was something different. My mom and twin sister Sereniti helped John plan the proposal. My whole family was there and he got down on one knee at Disney Springs in a really private area. He was so nervous he barely said anything but I instantly said yes!

WEDDING PLANNING MANTRA When things got difficult I took a step back and knew that God was in control. There were so many times due to the pandemic that we had venues cancel on us. Planning a wedding in 2020 was so stressful but I wouldn’t have traded the process. I feel like it brought us closer and made us better problem solvers together.

FAVORITE MOMENT The ceremony. It was exactly how I imagined. I remember thinking how much I loved the rugs down the aisle. I remember seeing John’s reaction and saying our promise to each other. I loved every moment of the ceremony.

THE DRESSES My mom, Sereniti, and my nana all went dress shopping with me. I tried on all the dresses you could imagine. I am so indecisive so it was super difficult. I would have never thought that the dress I picked would have been my wedding dress. It was perfect - especially after alterations. It fit my body like a glove and it was one of a kind. My favorite part of the dress was the tassels!

BEST ADVICE Don’t let what others say effect your decision.

JOHN SAYS … Sierra is beautiful smart loving and downright the best. She loves me like no other and I cannot wait to grow old with her.

SIERRA SAYS … John is patient, he is kind and to know him is to love him. I cannot wait to slow dance in the kitchen forever.
