Emotional Wedding at the Tampa Museum of Arts, Downtown Tampa, Florida
WEDDING DATE We got married on May 15, 2021. It wasn’t our original date but I’m so thankful that we were still able to have our perfect day, surrounded by love and support, after everything that happened. Just makes it that much more special.
THE PROPOSAL I knew it was coming, just did not know exactly when. I expected it just about every time we went out somewhere, so when he ended up doing it at the house I was totally surprised. I always wanted it to be more private so it was perfect.
WEDDING PLANNING MANTRA I really enjoyed all of the planning. Sure, it was frustrating at times but I enjoyed going through all the details and see everything come together. I knew it would all be worth it in the end, especially since I got to plan it myself.
FAVORITE MOMENT To pick just one sure is tough. I loved getting ready with the girls I love most. The first look with my dad was really special. Seeing Mark tear up as I walked down the aisle was everything I was hoping for. And of course being able to celebrate with those we love, was exactly what we dreamed of.
THE DRESSES My family flew into town so my mom was able to be there for it, which meant a lot. Amy, my really good friend from PA school and bridesmaid was there for it as well. Unfortunately, my best friend and matron of honor Mackenzie had to work that morning so she wasn't there when I tried all of the dresses on, but she was there to help decide between the final two and to celebrate the decision with us. We were also able to FaceTime other close friends and family members which was really special.
BEST ADVICE Enjoy it along the way. The planning can become stressful and you can obsess over little details but when the time comes, sit back and enjoy it and know you did what you could to make it the perfect day and it will be, regardless of what happens.
THREE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE OUR DAY Love. Happiness. Perfection.
MARK SAYS … Oh I'm sure that he would have plenty to say. I'm hard-headed, sweet, and lovable. We have grown so much over the last five years and continue to challenge one another. We both look forward to what the future holds for us.
TORI SAYS … He can be stubborn, get on my nerves, and is always challenging me. But that's what I love about him. He keeps me on my toes, we have so much fun together and we have so many dreams that we look forward to reaching together.
