Tropical Fall Beach Wedding at Tides Beach Club on North Redington Beach, Florida

WEDDING DATE We got married on October 23, 2021 because we didn’t want to melt on the beach.

THE PROPOSAL It was a very personal proposal and David was so nervous! I totally had a feeling it was coming, he had been dropping hints all week. The night he proposed we ended up walking like two miles on the beach before he popped the question because he “had to work up the courage”. It was a perfect proposal that took place over the Fourth of July so yeah, there were definitely fireworks.

WEDDING PLANNING MANTRA My wedding planning mantra was very cliche “it’s going to be what it’s going to be”. Planning a wedding during COVID, there really was no point in getting worked up over small details because the landscape of “in-person events” had changed so we had to do a lot of improvising.

FAVORITE MOMENT Walking down the aisle TOGETHER. We entered our ceremony as an engaged couple arm in arm, and exited the ceremony as husband and wife arm in arm. It was important for us to be visualized as equals going into a marriage and partnership together.

THE DRESS It was a private session with just my Mom back in my hometown of Michigan. I tried on sooo many dresses, and found something wrong with each one. Finally, the ‘Wedding Dress Fairy’ pulled out a dress that had EVERYTHING..lace, beading, a little tulle, and COLOR. My dress was a sage blue with white lace overlay with a mermaid fit..perfect for the beach.

BEST ADVICE BREATHE. Literally just breathe—things may seem important or a “big deal” in the moment, but I promise you they are not. Nobody will care that a jewel fell out of your hair clip or that the groomsman bought the wrong color pants. I promise.
