WEDDING DATE July 3, 2020. We love Fourth of July and wanted to use the long weekend to celebrate!

THE PROPOSAL Nick had been planning a surprise, but coronavirus had other plans. We found out we needed to quarantine, and instead of the original plan, Nick bought me my favorite food in the world- Taco Bell. He wrote "Will You Marry Me" on all of the wrappers, and came over to me with the ring. It was low key, perfect, and will always be unforgettable.

WEDDING PLANNING MANTRA "It is what it is." Because we figured out we needed to get married while coronavirus is happening, it was stressful! I was afraid things wouldn't be open, but we found a place to marry us that said they would do it in an alley if needed. As long as I had a marriage license and my man, I knew we would figure it out!

FAVORITE MOMENT I have two favorite parts of the day. The first was having the first look together, and getting to see the man I was going to marry before the ceremony! My second favorite part of the day was getting to kiss my husband for the first time!

THE DRESS My dress was from Lulu's! Because of coronavirus and the short timeframe, I needed something quick! I've gotten other formal dresses from Lulu's before and I knew I would fit into it very easily. My favorite parts of the dress were the off the shoulder pieces and the slit. It was simple but still sexy.

BEST ADVICE I think this question looks VERY different in the time of coronavirus. I'd have to say doing a Zoom wedding was SO easy and I would do it over again in a heart beat!

THREE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE OUR DAY Love. Pizza. Joy.

HE SAYS … I am so lucky to have married Lisa. She is my best friend and is always by my side. She is a strong and an amazing person. I was excited to come home from deployment and marry her. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with anybody else!

SHE SAYS … Nicholas is such an amazing man. He is someone I can laugh with, cry with, and share all of my thoughts with. Falling in love with Nick was quite the adventure after doing long distance for two years, and finally moving in together to live in Florida. We have had long periods of separation, but being together is always like we've been best friends with each other for 10 years, not 3. Nick is so thoughtful, kind, and my favorite person in the entire world.
