Outdoor Fall Omaha Senior Portrait Shoot

Okay so I’ll be the first to admit that not every shoot is easy. Many times, clients will book me without having physically met me in person. 

Totally fine, it happens a lot – especially when it comes to senior portraits and family photos. I actually view it as a compliment most times because it means my clients find me trustworthy – both as a person and as a photographer – and it means they also love my work, which I get super excited about.

That being said, if someone books with me without having met me, I make it a huge priority to get to know them as quickly as possible on the shoot. And sometimes, with different personalities, it can be a challenge.

Martha put me to the test. 

She’s strong, smart and loves fitness. She also loves her brother so much that she brought him with to the shoot (we even snuck in a few photos of the two of them). But man, oh man she really challenged me on getting her to open up and give her direction. None of my usual tricks were working. The solution? Her beloved brother. 

Eventually we got into a solid groove and her shots turned out to be TOP. Take a look.
