Nebraska City Bed & Breakfast Wedding

What words can I even say about this young couple? I definitely do a dorky happy dance when my wedding couples officially book with me, but for these two I just KNEW they would be great in front of the camera – and I was right.

And you know what else I get excited about? Super small, intimate, off-the-beaten-path, ultra-personalized weddings. And the way Amanda and Noah planned their wedding was absolutely 100% them. I admire that so much. It’s refreshing – especially coming from my younger couples.

I think a lot of times people get so caught up in following tradition or pleasing other family members and stressing about budget that they forget why they are planning a wedding. Everyone sees their friends and other family members going through the traditional motions and so they think that’s exactly what they have to do – or that no one will like or come to their wedding if they don’t stick with what’s been done in the past.

I say there are no rules.

If you’re engaged and you’re planning a wedding, really ask yourself why you’re wanting to include certain elements on your wedding day. It will help you focus on your fiancé, focus on what’s important to YOU and what would be meaningful to you years down the road.
